Andrew Pleener, M.D.

Chief Executive Officer & Founder

Board-certified integrative psychiatrist and Fellow of the American Institute of Stress (FAIS), Dr. Pleener founded Regional Psychiatry in 2019 to deliver virtual, STARR-powered care (“The Gym for the Brain”)—integrating psychiatry, therapy, coaching, and testing for continuum support across all ages. He completed psychiatry training at Richmond University Medical Center (Mount Sinai affiliate) and served on the American Institute of Stress board (2021-2023). In 2017, Dr. Pleener co-created and directed a Psychiatric Trauma Center on St. Maarten during Hurricane Irma, earning recognition in Newsday and Central Florida Lifestyle Magazine for disaster psychiatry leadership. Co-founder of the #SameHere Psych and #STARR Alliances, and co-creator of the #SameHere Scale (Baylor-validated, AIS-certified), he is a frequent speaker on innovative, accessible mental health solutions.

John Rosa, D.C.

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Rosa drives seamless virtual care and operational innovation at Regional Psychiatry as Chief Operating Officer. He supports our multi-state telehealth platform, delivering integrated psychiatry, therapy, and coaching services to patients across the country. As President of Biostax Corp (dba Attune Biotech), he pioneers the convergence of medicine and technology to address chronic illness, pain, immune dysfunction, and mental health. He also serves as COO of 5in5, Inc., advancing non-medication wellness programs through technology and education. A nationally recognized leader in integrative health, Dr. Rosa has advised federal agencies as a White House Surrogate on the opioid and mental health crises. As Chair of #SameHere Global, he partners with athletes and celebrities to normalize mental health conversations.

Yaron Markfeld, M.D.

Medical Director & Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Board-certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, Dr. Markfeld leads our Child & Adolescent Division with family-centered virtual care. He completed residency at Richmond University Medical Center (Mount Sinai affiliate) as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship at Northwell’s Zucker Hillside Hospital. Formerly a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate, he has lectured on bullying, cyberbullying, and social media’s impact on youth mental health. A strong advocate for lifestyle medicine and holistic approaches, Dr. Markfeld is STARR-certified and focuses on healing modalities beyond medication. He is a devoted father of three, avid tennis player, former Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor, and semi-pro football player.

Aleksandr Zverinskiy, MD, MHA

Director of Consult & Integrated Care Services

Triple board-certified in Psychiatry, Psychosomatic Medicine, and Addiction Medicine, Dr. Zverinskiy serves as Director of Consult & Integrated Care Services at Regional Psychiatry. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at Richmond University Medical Center (Mount Sinai affiliate) and his Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. Dr. Zverinskiy brings senior leadership experience as Chief Medical Officer for a national behavioral health organization, where he oversees clinical strategy and integrated care models bridging psychiatry with primary care and community settings. Previously, he served as National Medical Director and Medical Director of Outpatient Psychiatric Services. A dedicated educator and thought leader, he has developed psychopharmacology curricula and presented nationally on integrated behavioral health and complex care coordination. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and has received multiple “Top Doctor” awards. Fluent in English and Russian, Dr. Zverinskiy is committed to compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health care.

Eric Kussin

Chief Marketing Officer

Eric Kussin serves as Chief Brand Officer at Regional Psychiatry, leading brand strategy and awareness efforts to expand access to our virtual, STARR-integrated care. A Cornell magna cum laude graduate and former NBA/NHL executive, Eric overcame a severe 2.5-year mental health crisis through mind-body practices and turned that experience into a mission for resilience. Founder and CEO of #SameHere Global Mental Health Movement and 5in5, Inc., he partners with athletes and celebrities to normalize mental health conversations. A STARR-certified coach and sought-after speaker, Eric brings lived experience and strategic vision to making “The Gym for the Brain” accessible to all.

Riley Osborne

Chief Strategy Officer for Behavioral Health Partnerships

Riley Osborne serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Behavioral Health Partnerships at Regional Psychiatry. He leads strategic initiatives and builds collaborative relationships with hospitals, health systems, IOP/PHP programs, recovery centers, and community partners to expand access to integrated virtual mental health care and create seamless referral pathways. A recognized healthcare strategist and Titan 100 leader, Riley is the founder of Sober Sessions, a concert series that brings together music, community, and mental health awareness. He also serves on the C-suite of a national recovery center, where he contributes to care delivery models and strategic partnerships. With deep expertise in healthcare strategy and relationship development, Riley works to align Regional Psychiatry’s STARR model and concierge-style services with external providers, ensuring smooth transitions and comprehensive, patient-centered support.

Lina Perez, M.D.

Supervisor, Spanish Division

Board-certified adult psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in diverse treatment settings, Dr. Perez leads our Spanish Division, delivering culturally sensitive virtual care to the Hispanic community. Fluent in Spanish, she specializes in hybrid telemedicine models that balance mental and physical well-being. She completed residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and remains active in the American Psychiatric Association and Florida Psychiatric Society. Dr. Perez is passionate about building trust with each patient and creating personalized treatment plans that address unique needs and goals. Her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care integrates seamlessly with Regional Psychiatry’s STARR model. Amanda Hrnic

Practice Manager

Amanda Hrnic serves as Practice Manager at Regional Psychiatry, overseeing daily operations to create smooth, patient-centered experiences from the very first contact. She manages scheduling, team coordination, insurance navigation, and intake processes — reducing administrative barriers so patients can focus fully on their healing journey. With a strong focus on operational excellence and accessibility, Amanda ensures virtual appointments run efficiently and that every patient feels supported. Her work plays a vital role in empowering the entire team to deliver high-quality, STARR-integrated care.

Bryan Coviello, LMHC

Director of STARR Therapy

Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Director of our Therapy Division, Bryan brings deep expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and autistic-affirming care. With a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lynn University (2020) and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Florida Atlantic University, he has worked in crisis stabilization at South County Mental Health Center, served as clinical assistant director at New Directions for Young Adults (an autism transition program), and supported youth in residential academic settings. Bryan is passionate about innovative and inclusive mental health care. He has presented on autistic-affirming care at the Florida Mental Health Counseling Association Summit and served as a panelist at Florida Atlantic University. He is committed to integrating evidence-based therapy with STARR somatic tools to optimize nervous system regulation and help patients achieve meaningful, values-driven change.

Joey Guarnaccia, LMHC

Director of Evaluation & Referral (STARR Concierge)

Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Director of our Evaluation & Referral division, Joey leads comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and works collaboratively with patients to co-create personalized treatment plans. Certified in Brainspotting, he specializes in accessing and releasing trauma stored in the midbrain through precise eye positions for deep, gentle healing. With experience spanning AMIkids Greater Fort Lauderdale, Memorial Healthcare System, and transitional living programs for young adults, Joey has worked with diverse populations from toddlers to young adults across a wide range of mental health concerns. He believes progress comes through strong rapport and active client participation. Outside of work, Joey enjoys camping, hiking, exercising, and exploring the world — passions that reflect his commitment to overall well-being.

Diana Rivera

Director of Case Management

Dedicated coordinator ensuring seamless blending of complementary resources into patient plans. Diana manages consents, placements, and transitions for modalities like TMS, Neurofeedback, Ketamine,  IOP/PHP, and residential—enhancing outcomes while keeping care connected to your core Regional team. Experienced in complex coordination, she reduces hassle for patients needing escalation or add-ons. Committed to continuity and peace of mind across the mental health continuum.

Gabriela Garces

Senior STARR Coach

A passionate STARR-certified coach with a background in athletics and graphic design, Gabriela brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role. Having overcome personal challenges through psychotherapy and holistic practices, she guides patients in releasing stored stress and rebuilding resilience through mind-body techniques. She is also a BIONEURO Emotion Practitioner and continues studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Passionate about bridging mind, body, and spirit, Gabriela helps patients unlock lasting change through gentle, practical tools — empowering them to shift mindsets and live more fulfilling lives.

Adam Scheller, Ph.D.

Director of Neuropsychological Testing

Clinical psychologist and scientist leading our neuropsychological testing division, Dr. Scheller brings a unique practitioner-researcher perspective. His career began as a behavioral therapist for children with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, followed by leadership roles in clinical assessment at Pearson (where he grew measurement science capabilities ahead of plan) and neurodegeneration research as Senior Scientist at Denali Therapeutics. Dr. Scheller delivers precise, high-quality evaluations for ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, dementia, PTSD, and neurological conditions. He translates complex cognitive and emotional data into clear, actionable insights that inform personalized STARR treatment plans across all ages. Passionate about bridging rigorous science with compassionate patient care, he is dedicated to improving outcomes through accurate diagnosis and targeted recommendations.

Kayla Vaughan

Director of Patient Financial Services

Kayla Vaughan leads our Patient Financial Services team, ensuring transparent and stress-free billing and insurance processes for all patients. She oversees benefit verification, copay estimates, and superbills — removing financial barriers so patients can focus on care rather than paperwork. With a focus on accuracy and empathy, Kayla makes mental health services more accessible and affordable for both insured and self-pay patients. Her work supports the entire STARR ecosystem by helping patients navigate the financial side of care with confidence.
