Debbie Huffman, ANP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a dual board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With a strong foundation in intensive care, Debbie transitioned to nurse practitioning, earning her MSN from South University. Her clinical experience spans mobile primary care, internal medicine, neurology, and chronic pain management, which ignited her passion for mental health, particularly in addressing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders in adults. Debbie embraces a holistic approach, seeking to identify and address the root causes of medical and psychological issues
She believes in restoring balance and wellbeing by considering the intricate relationships between the body, environment, and lifestyle. As a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners, Debbie stays updated on the latest advancements in her field. Committed to ongoing education and professional growth, Debbie has received additional certification through Maryland University Integrative Health’s STARR (Stress & Trauma, Active Release & Rewiring) course. This specialized training emphasizes integrative approaches to patient care, further enhancing Debbie’s ability to provide comprehensive, holistic care.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Debbie enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with their furry companions. Her two daughters, both nurses, share her passion for healthcare. Her oldest is pursuing a career in Integrative Medicine, while her youngest works as a Neonatal ICU nurse in Jacksonville, FL. Debbie earned her BSN from The Ohio State University, laying the groundwork for her successful nursing career.
